Freesat is a new television platform backed by the BBC and ITV. It provides customers with a no subscription viewing option to view free TV including some of the new HD High Definition services. It is also the only platform on which customers can currently view ITV HD. This development is of hugh value to those customers who do not wish to subscribe to the pay TV options available.

For a one off payment customers can buy the equipment and installation. There are no future commitments or costs.

There are many different equipment options, Panasonic make TVs with Freesat built in and Humax have a PVR with similar fuctions to Sky + but without the subscription charges.
